Kogi Election:We won't Compromise-maigari



 The  Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Kogi state Commandant Peter Maigari has assured the people of Kogi State that the Corps will never compromised his integrity in the Saturday  November 16th Governorship and Kogi West bye-elections in the state. 
Maigari gave this assurance while speaking with the oduduwa watch correspondent at the Corp headquarter in Lokoja

The Governorship and the bye-election in Kogi West Senatorial District are scheduled to hold on Saturday.

Commandant Maigari said the responsibility of his command is to protect life and property of the citizens before, during and after the election saying the corps won't contravene their security mandate. 

He said Civil Defense is working with other security agencies led by the police in ensuring the Saturday elections is peaceful and devoid of violence. 

"The peace accord signed by the stakeholders further give the security agencies assurance that every interested party will abide by the rule of the game".

He commended the preparation of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) saying the commission has given his words of conducting free, fair and credible poll on Saturday. 

Maigari further allayed the fear of the general public saying anybody that want to forment trouble should stay cleared of the state. 

" We are fully prepared and ready to provide adequate security for voters, my men are on ground and for those not on election duty post should stay far away from the poll unit".he also said that all the borders security are also coming to join the command to give adequate protection in this election to the electorates.
