Governor Dakota Abiodun Performs Flag-off Construction of Ijebu-ode 14km Road.

The Ijebu-Ode/Epe fourteen kilometres road described as the most laudable and economic induce project was on 26th February, 2020 launched in Odogbolu Local Government axis of the road by His Excellency, Governor Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, MFR.

The Governor had during his campaign period promised to develop projects which will have positive impacts in the lives of Ogun people. This was what he decided to bring to fruition when the drum to launch the Ijebu-Ode/Epe Road was rolled out and eminent and dignitaries in all areas of endeavours came to grace the occasion.

Amongst those around were the Deputy Governor, Engr. (Mrs.)Noimot Salako-Oyedele; Speaker Adekunle Oluomo and his Deputy Speaker, Hon. Dare Kadiri leading most Members of the State House of Assembly; Government officials from Government House, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta; Commissioners; past leaders and positions holders; Paramount Rulers as well as other Royal Fathers in the State. There were various Associations like NURTW, RTEAN, AMORAN, ACIMORAN, Market men and women, etc.

Those who delivered goodwill messages included the Paramount Rulers; APC Party Leader, Chief Yemi Sanusi who appreciated God for not disappointing him on the Governor for he has been performing adequately well against the wishes of detractors. After his song of praise, he told the gathering "This is one of the remarkable projects and we are going to do more". He gave commendation to the Governor saying " You are making us proud as a good son. We still have more than three years and have recorded this far and by God's grace there is another four years. You can imagine what we are going to do in these seven years". Chief Sanusi berated the adversaries that they would not die but live to see the records of the Governor's achievements as time goes on.

The two House of Assembly Members from Odogbolu and Ijebu-Ode State Constituencies were called to give the goodwill messages of their people. They were full of joy commending the Governor for fulfilling the promise.

Mr. Gilbert, the representative of the contractors on his part thanked Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the laudable project that the job would be done in two parallel sections and be delivered on time better than that of Epe axis.

In his address to his people, Governor Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun full of excitement expressed his delight on the project which he said he promised to the State during the campaigns. He said he has come to fulfill what would make them enjoy all what had eluded them for a long while. "We are here to do this and are determined to do all which has direct impacts to the lives of the people. We are prepared to deliver good governance to you", he partly delivered.

Dapo Abiodun revealed the state of the other Federal Roads which the Federal Government has not been released the authority to both Lagos and Ogun State to rehabilitate; but informed about roads rehabilitation and construction are going on and those which have been accomplished by his administration. He called on private sectors to come forward for more partnerships.

The Governor reeled out the benefits to be derived at completion which he said would be of tremendous advantageous to all Nigerians that would ply the road which leads to other parts of the country, increase job opportunities to the youths, economic viability of the areas, etc.

Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun thereafter delivered the flag off and unveiled the plaque.
