My Emergiance As Supervisory Councilor For Works And Infrastructure in Oriade LCDA-Hon.Olojede

Hon.Olojede Rasak Akorede who is the Supervisory Councilor for works and infrastructure in oriade LCDA Lagos state,presently serving under the administration of Hon.Ramotallahi Olanrewaju Akinola- Hassan the Executive chairman Oriade LCDA in Amuwo Odofin Area of lagos state, revealed how he emerged as the supervisor for works and infrastructure in the local government.

Hon Olojede said that he had political background in his lineage: my grandfather was a politician and also a community leader who always lead during the Egungun festival every year  and that was what made my grandfather had lots of people around him, whenever there is any election either in the state or local government,any party that my  grandfather joined will emerge winner because of love that people have for him by following his directives at any given time and this was what made my grandfather politically Incline within the community.

Hon Olojede also talk about his education  background that all his life was in Amuwo odofin , he attended Satellite  Primary School and Satellite  Secondary School and later  proceeded to tertiary Institute in Osun State, Ire Polytechnic and graduated with O.N.D in Business Studies in the year 2001 And was employed in Amuwo odofin local government in Budget Department after he concluded his OND program in polytechnic as Executive cadre Grade Level 06 as at then. He proceeded to Lagos State University (LASU) Ojo in Faculty of Management Science and Studied Industrial Relation & Management Science and graduated in the year 2007.

 

And Then, he was converted from Executive Cadre to Administrative Cadre Grade Level 10, since then he has been serving under the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs before his appointment to serve as Supervisor for Works and Infrastructure under the Administration of Hon. Ramotallahi Olanrewaju Akinola - Hassan.

Hon. Rasak added that he didn't just find himself in the Office, he noted that the current Chairman of Oriade Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ramotallahi Olanrewaju Akinola - Hassan Emerged as the flag bearer of All Progressive Congress in 2017 Election and she was single handedly picked olojede  to be part of  her campaign team  which olojede was  going around from house to house canvassing for people to vote for her before She Emerged the winner of 2017 LG Election.

I have been an active member of the Youth Caucus in lagos state since 2001 and also served in Ward Executive as Assistant Financing Secretary which i later became the Financial Secretary in our ward, I equally aspired for Counsellor in my Ward (Ijegun- Egba Ward F) during the 2007 Elections. I was also an instrumental to flagging up the 37 Local Government Area in Lagos State under the Administration of Governor Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu.

My passion and aspirations is to serve the People is Meritoriously, But Godfatherlism has been the major problem, infant it has been a major challenge  which our present Governor  Babajide Sanwo Olu is trying to resolve.

Am also working to librate my people because most of our Parents are Artisian, Fishermen etc and that was what inspired me to come up with elite club.

I remember I was involved in so many Clubs back then in Secondary School, Elite Club, where we were giving most outstanding member award and a Certificate was added to it and also received  Award from G.B.A EKO Achievers Award in 2018 as Distinguished  Role Model of Honor in Lagos State Political Service and Ona Ara Political Forum etc.

My Courage was God and My Mentor, Hon. G.T Olukolu, who tutored me during My early days of My Career and most times when am passing through difficulties.

What is your advise to People of Oriade Local Council Development Area?

Hon.Olojede Rasak urge  the People of his local government, as we all know that we are from the Riverine Area of and Satellite Town,  we need to comply with the advise of World Health Organization and Federal Ministry of Health to stay save  by using Face Mask, washing our hands regularly according to recommendation of NCDC and they should also eat Food Supplement that will boost their immune system.he noted
