Gov. Bagudu Expresses Satisfaction Over Activities Of National Commission For Refugees



Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has expressed satisfaction about the activities of National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons in the pursuit of its mandate of bringing succor to refugees in the country.
Specifically, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu is appreciative of the leadership role of President Muhammadu Buhari who has recognized the importance of giving proper attention to the plight of vulnerable persons and groups nationwide.
The Kebbi State Chief Executive made this commendation this Friday during a visit to the headquarters of the commission in Abuja.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu acknowledged that President Muhammadu Buhari also provided financial clout to the commission to cater for internally displaced persons in seven states in North-East, bearing large number of refugees as a result of the insurgency in the region.
He said Kebbi state would welcome additional support from the commission in view of playing host to many internally displaced persons in the state driven away by the conflict in Borno state as well as cases of banditry in neighboring Zamfara state.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu commended the National Commission for Refugees for striving tirelessly to fulfill its objectives of resettling and providing basic socio-economic amenities to refugees and displaced persons.
The Federal Commissioner in charge of the Commission, Senator Basheer Garba Muhammad expressed delight about the visit of the Governor to the headquarters of the Commission in appreciation of its activities to Nigerians.
