OLOWO IS GOD'S CHOSEN MONARCH FOR OWO KINGDOM -Alhaji Abbas

Alhaji Abbas, an ally of the Olowo of Owo, His Imperial Majesty Oba Ajibade Ogunoye has described the monarch ascension to the throne of Olowo as divine saying he is a God sent to the ancient town of Owo. 

Speaking to Oduduwa correspondent at the one year anniversary of the monarch held in Olowo Palace in Owo, Abbas said the kingmakers made know mistakes in supporting and electing Oba Ajibade Ogunoye as king.

He said since the monarch ascension to the throne, Owo has witnessed tremendous change in every facet of human endeavors.

According to him, " one of the greatest achievements of the monarch is the peaceful coexistence among the indigenes and non indigenesof the town.

 " Before now, Owo is prone to crisis but with the installation of the king, Owo has experienced a drastic change more than ever before and there are still more to come".

He said the monarch has created template that brought a lot of employment opportunities for the youth which has led to reduction in cult activities and other social vices in the town. "  With the job opportunity in Owo, large numbers of cultists have renounced their various groups and embrace peaceful disposition in Owo kingdom".

He further said the choice of Oba Ajibade was a popular decision considering his pedigree and capability to take Owo to the higher level. " Our monarch was not chosen because of his age, financial status or how influential he was in the society but was selected based on the leadership traits discovered in him and he has not disappointed the people".

Alhaji Abass advised the people of Owo kingdom and newly inaugurated Owo Development Council to cooperate and support the monarch in moving the Kingdom forward.
