Mataima VIO Head Advocates Good Human Relations Between Officers and Road Users

The newly posted Area Commander of Vehicle Inspection Office, Maitama Unit in Federal Capita Territory (FCT), Moh'd Saidu Biu has advocated for good human relation between the officers and road users in the command.

He disclosed this to Oduduwa Watch while feeding questions at his office in Maitama, Abuja.

The VIO Commander who has set a target for the command said all his statutory duties within the time he will spent at the unit will bring good rapport between him and Violators of the laws.

Moh'd said he will be fair to every road users in the command, no matter the level of offence they might have committed. " There is hardship in the land, it requires common sense to deal with the people whose the country's situation has affected psychologically".

According to him, " there is no excuse in breaking the law or ignorance of the law but as human being, we need native intelligence while attending to certain situations. The law guiding users of the road have been well spelt out, as an officer, you must use your initiative to apply it".

He stated further that the endsars protest by  some youths across the country was as a result of police brutality and poor human management by the Force who sometimes went outside their jurisdiction. " There is a way to relate with offenders than being brutal in approach".

The VIO officer said every officer of the law must ensure they maintain good human relation with the citizens, adding that powerful is transient. 

He noted that despite the revenue generation of the agency to the government, leniecy is require to achieve the set target of the authority. 

He charged all the road users in the FCT to be law abiding, obey traffic rules, ensure their vehicles are road worthy and renew their expired papers as and when due.
