Delta LG poll: CP addresses Stakeholders on Peace Polls.... Restriction of Movement from 12 midnight to 4pm


Ahead of Saturday Local Government election in Delta State, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Mohammed Ali has addressed all stakeholders on the need to have credible polls devoid of crisis. 

While answering questions from Newsmen, CP Mohammed said the state command is ready for the conduct of the poll, saying 8229 policemen have been deployed and over 3000 other security agencies are on ground across the state to provide security. 

" With the level of our preparation towards the Saturday election, we are not expecting anything short of free and fair poll".

He said further that, the command tactical team will be all out and the water way will be monitored by the combined team of the Navy and police. 
 
He said restriction of movement will start from 12 midnight of today till 4pm when the election would have been over. 

On the election that coincided with NECO examination, the CP asked the students to carry their ID card as mean of identification in order to have easy passage to their various school. 

He warned trouble maker to be far away from polling boot, adding that electoral law of the state will dealt with defaulters caught acting contrary to the peaceful conduct of the poll.
