Delta LG Poll: Elumelu Dispels PDP Rigging Election

Hon. Elumelu,A lawmaker representing federal constituency,  Aniocha Local Government Area of Delta state has dispelled rumour that the People's Democratic party (PDP) will rig the local government election, saying the party has what it takes to win the election overwhelmingly without resulting to manipulation. 

He stated this while feeding questions from journalists at his polling unit where  he cast his vote for the candidate of his choice.

While describing the process as fair, he commended the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) for conducting credible poll and unbiased in discharging their official duties. 

" I am a product of true democracy and I will never be part of whatever that could truncate our democratic ethoes of the nation. Allegations of rigging is baseless because we were fully prepared for the poll to win and not to rig our way in unlike in some APC states".

"Delta is PDP state since 1999; our governor is a democrat who believes in service to humanity and credible polls, urging our party candidates to go out for massive campaign and the need to fulfill all their campaign promises".

He charged the people to be peaceful during and after declaration of result, saying violence help nobody.
