Afuye Applause's Governor Fayemi For Conducting LG Polls.

The Ekiti state government  conducted the local government election in the state to elect new local government chairmen and councillors to all local government area council and the newly created local council developments areas(LCDA'S) to pilot its affairs in the next two years.

The speaker of the ekiti state house of assembly, Hon. Funminiyi afuye while speaking with the journalists after he cast his vote  at Ikere local government at his polling unit applauded the Governor fayemi APC led government in the state for conducting local government election free of molestation and intimidation and as well eulogising electoral umpire for creating a level playing ground for all registered political parties to participate in the electoral process without fear or favour.

According to him"The electoral process is maturing, they should allow it to grow and give us an enduring democracy. Election is a process not a destination".

The Rt.Hon, speaker stressed further  the secret behind massive  support of the present government in Ekiti state is good governance. He stated that in spite of the paucity of fund in the state due to covid- 19 pandemic, state still witnessed dividend of democracy in the state such renovation of school's buildings,good road networks,provision of hospitals, etc.

On the PDP non participation in the election,the speaker made it cleared that it a choice of any political parties to participate or not since the electoral process is very cleared and being guided by the rule to be followed without fear or favour.

The speaker therefore informed the electorate to shine their eyes and vote for the right candidates during the election and as well urged them to vote for   continuity in the forthcoming governorship election  to enjoy more dividend of democracy in the state.
