Health Tech Maiduguri 1990-1993. University of Maiduguri 1997-2000. Mm B.A Islamic Studies. Ladoke Akintola University of Science And Technology, Ogbomosho, masters in Social work/Child health.

He joins the Borno State Civil Service as a class teacher and rose to a headmaster and later became an Assistant Director of Health Services.
Commandant Goni served as a volunteer of Civil Defence in1996 and was appointed by the Civil Defence, Immigration, Prisons And Federal Fire service Board into the Corps when it became a full fledged paramilitary agency in 2005 as a Deputy Commandant of Corps. A passionate and versatile law enforcement officer, have worked in units and Departments of the Nigeria Security And CIVIL Defense corps, across the Country.He was Acting Commandant in Abia & Rivers in 2007. Was also Deputy Commandant Lagos and Yobe States. Commandant National Headquarters NHQ, Commandant Training and manpower Development 2019-2020. Commandant Records and Manpower documentation 2020-2021. He's appointed State Commandant Nigeria Security And CIVIL Defense corps NSCDC Gombe State Command in December 2021.
