2023 General Election: Police Will Remain Professional - Anambra State PPRO


The Nigeria Police, Anambra State Command, today has separated itself from any unfounded rumors culpable to truncate credible, free and fair election in the state during the forthcoming general polls.

This came following the recent video claiming that a hunter found some PVCs inside forest at Nnewi, Anambra State.

The state police command spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu in a statement announced that the Command has not received any related complaint from the concerned authority over the incident therefore, the Command would be rather constrained to make further comment due to the sensitivity of the time. However, he explained clearly that the Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng has directed his men for a thorough investigation into the video clip, with the aim of finding the details of the matter to know the necessary steps to take against the suspects.

The statement read thus:

"The Command has not received any such complaint from the concerned authority, following the emergence of a video claiming that a hunter found some PVCs in a forest at Nnewi"

"Given the above, the Commissioner of Police CP Echeng Echeng has ordered investigations into the video to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and possibly arrest the suspects behind the act"

"Therefore, the command is constrained to make further comments and any  development in this regard shall be communicated"
