Certificate scandal, reaction trail Hon Lawal, Chairman House of Rep. Comitee on Census.

The constitution requires any public office seeker in Nigeria to have the  minimum of a secondary education. You are required to go to school till about the age of 16; extremely small education in my reckoning but good enough to enable you read and write, and be able to sign documents.

The number of persons involved in certificate scandals under the Buhari  administration may speak to something far deeper in our society, even beyond the administration, but it is to say the least, disgraceful and embarrassing.

One of these days, I wouldn't be surprised if investigators begin to turn their searchlights on House of Representative members certificate! In the past, we had the Chicago scandal, we also had the Toronto scandal, and today we have YABATECH scandal.

The management of Yaba College of Technology ( Yabatech) had dismissed a staff of the institution involved in the sale of certificate to a serving federal law maker hon. Idirisu Lawal Mohammed member representing Ajaokuta Federal constituency ( the former chairman house committee on steel and presently chairman house committee on NPC)

When the bubble burst, seun A. Adebayo, a registry staff who indulged in the sale of institution certificate to a serving honorable was arrested by the State Crime Investigation Division (SCID), detained, later granted bail and finally dismissed from the institution.

With the aid of this forged certificate, ldrisu Lawal passed 2014/15 INEC screening and earned seat at the House of Representatives, and even went on to chair the House committee on steel.

The above headline was from Sahara Reporters, online news platform in October 1st, 2018 and the story was bought over by Lawal's fighting agents with huge amount of money  but we should not forget that what's published can never be unpublished. 

Latest Development:  In 2019, hon. Lawal connived with some staff of inec to remove the fake ND result generated from Yabatech from inec portal and allowed ordinary level, O'level , certificate to top his credentials.

Questions on ground now is where did he get the first ND result he submitted earlier to  INEC and why did he withdraw this same certificate in2019?

Who are those INEC staff involved in sudden change of certificate?

Today, Lawal is still the serving house of representatives member representing Ajaokuta federal constituency under the platform of All Progressives Congress,APC, and the chairman house committee on census. National Population Commission, NPC.

 Attention! !! !!!

I think this case of certificate forgery needs to be examined by the EFCC or lCPC to actually know whether hon. Lawal  is the rightful owner of salaries he earns. BH
