Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation Donates Face Masks To Kebbi State



The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation in Kaduna has donated One thousand, Five hundred (1500) face masks to support  effort of  Kebbi state Government in the fight against Covid-19  pandemic. 
       
The Managing Director/CEO, Engineer Abubakar Gambo Umar made the presentation this Monday at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi  through the Kebbi state representative of the foundation, Arc Lawal Mohammed Yusuf, the immediate past General Manager of the state Housing Corporation.
    
He said in addition to the face masks, public awareness campaigns in the form of TV and Radio jingles were being aired as well as on social media platform in all the nineteen (19) Northern states and the FCT.
      
Engineer Gambo Umar added that, the foundation was equally extending the same gesture of donating 1,500 face masks to all the Nineteen Northern states and FCT.
    
 Receiving the items, the Chairman of the state Covid-19 Task force who is the Commissioner for Health Hon Jaafar Mohammed Zuru thanked the foundation for the gesture in curtailing the spread of the Corona Virus.
     
The Chairman described the donation as timely in view of the state Government’s effort in ensuring the wearing of face mask in public places become compulsory  in Kebbi state.
       
Hon Jaafar expressed gratitude to Governor Atiku Abubakar Bagudu for his support, encouragement, and prompt attention to the requests of the task force as well as all those who provided support, in cash or in kind to the committee.
