Gov.Bagudu Releases Fund For The Construction Of New Kebbi State Government Secretariat

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has approved the release of Nine Hundred and Forty Nine Million One Hundred and Ninety Eight Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty Six Naira Twenty Six Kobo (N949,198,886.26) only to the contractor handling the construction of the New Secretariat Complex Gwadangaji Birnin Kebbi to hasten the completion of the project.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari quotes the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Abubakar Chika Ladan as saying the project is under the office of the Head of Civil Service and that release of the fund followed negotiations with the contractor Rockwell Nigeria Limited which will now settle all outstanding payment.

The contractor has been directed to return to the site immediately to complete work without delay, which is part of the present administration’s commitment to complete all ongoing projects for the benefit of the people of the state.

When completed the State Secretariat will serve as offices for Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service as well as a number of ministries and dedepartment
