Obakeki Will Consolidate On His First Term Achievement -Imade

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Godwin Obaseki on Community Development, Hon Omato Imade JP has stated that the governor will consolidate on his first term achievements saying Edo people should be expecting more dividend of democracy in his second term in office. 

He disclosed this during the Saturday governorship election while chatting with newsmen at his polling unit in Oredo Local Government Area Council. 

Hon Imade said the giant strides of the governor in the last four years has endeared the good people of Edo State to his second term aspiration. 

" Edo people refused to be intimidated by the power that be and decided to vote for a progressive government with human oriented policies and programs".

Imade said era of godfatherism has come to an end in Edo State politics,thanking the electorates who have spoken with their PVC.

Meanwhile, INEC has declared Governor Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party who polled 307,955 to beat his closest rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress who scored 223,619 as the winner of the Saturday governorship election.
