Why I Will Continue to Provide Quality Representation to My Constituent- Hon Taiwo Oluga
She made this disclosure during the presentation of award to her by the Life Value Awareness Leadership Secured Initiative in recognition of her laudable feat in her constituency.
Hon Oluga said the award came as surprise to her because she never knew that a reputable organisation like life value awareness and leadership secure initiative (LIVALSI)was monitoring her little contributions to her constituent.
In her words, " Giving to the grassroot has always been my priority and running all inclusive government that will engage the service of everybody. The gap between the representative and electorates should not be much"".
She promised to make herself accessible if elected into the Green Chamber, adding that ever since she became a federal lawmaker, people of the constituency have easy access to her. " The people of my constituent believe so much in me and I can't afford to disappoint the confidence repose in me".
She commended the people for being supportive and grateful for the little she was able to offer since she was elected. " In less than 2 years in office, I was able to add values to the lives of my people in terms of empowerment and capital projects".
Hon Oluga said her empowerment cut across board provided they fall within her constituency. " I stand for all people of the constituent and not my party members only. The artisans, traders, youths and women were beneficiaries of my various empowerment ".
"" Our empowerment comes in phases in accordance with available resources at my disposal. The next empowerment is for the farmers that represents the food basket of the nation.
Part of the capital projects of the lawmaker includes building projects at Muslim School in Ikoyi which is 80 percent completion, provision of transformer at Ago Owu, renovation of Primary Health Care at Ayedaade among other projects.
She also facilitated the employment of not less than 20 youths to various government agencies and ministries, adding that more are still coming.
To ensured adequate health care, she deployed over 50 youths to Primary Health Centre to complement the efforts of state government and also engaged some youths at both the primary and secondary schools, paying them stipend from her personal pocket. " The stipend I paid the youths deployed to both the schools and health centres cost nothing less than N500, 000 monthly".
To ensured the youths deployed to schools are not idle during Covid-19, she retrained them in entrepreneurship, giving them start up grant in millions.
She charged politicians to always put the interest of their people at heart saying political office is a service to humanity.
