Gov Umahi is God sent to Ebonyi -Dr Nora

The newly elected chairperson of the Ezza North Local Government Area Council, Dr Nora Oluchi Alo has described the governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi as God sent to the people of Ebonyi State saying his administration has brought tremendous development to the state.

 

She disclosed this to newsmen after she was declared as the duly elected chairman of Ezza North L.G.A in Ebony State in the just concluded local government election in the state. 

Dr Nora described the whole exercise as free, fair and credible adding that the state electoral body done a great job with the manner it conducted the poll.

She further commended the electorates for their good conduct before, during and after the poll saying they were law abiding citizens that complied with rules and regulations guiding the exercise.

In her words, " The people of Ezza North L.G have done well by exercising their franchise, casting their votes for me again and I promised not to disappoint the confidence repose in my leadership and ability. 

She assured the people of more dividends of democracy saying she will provide empowerment for both the youths and women, infrastructural development, social amenities among others to the people. 

" In line with the good works of His Excellency Gov David N. Umahi the Executive Governor of Ebony State, the people could be assured of more infrastructural development in the council", She stated.

Meanwhile, Hon Anayo Edwin Nwonu, a lawmaker in the state described the election as credible and transparent ,commending the electoral umpire for it fair play without being biased. 

He also commended the massive turn out that greeted the election saying it was the civil responsibility of every citizens of the state to exercise their constitutional franchise of voting for candidate of their choice. 

He advised the incoming chairmen and ward councilors to focus on the grass root development, asking them to make judicious use of the council allocation. " Since they are getting their allocation directly from the Federal Government which will enable them carry out the grass root developmental projects, they can't afford to fail the people".

Hon Anayo saluted the giant strides of the state governor whose administration has transformed every sectors of the state.
