Pay your Tax,Ebonyi Board of internal Revenue tasks citizens

The Secretary of the Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue,  Barrister Ezeago has tasked the citizens of the state on prompt payment of their taxes to the coffer of the state government saying development can only take place when citizens pay the mandatory levels as at when due. 

He stated this while chatting with Oduduwa correspondent at his office in the state capital of Ebonyi State.

Ezeago stated further that the board sole responsibility is to generate fund for the government adding that the board can't afford to fail the governor who is working assiduously in  providing needed and desirable development in Ebonyi State.

" Any state that want to develop and provide basic amenities to his populace, the citizens must be ready to perform their statutory responsibility of paying their taxes and levels regularly".

Barrister Ezeago who was the former Auditor General of the state said the secret behind the success so far recorded at the board was as a result of determination to succeed and hard work.

He implored the people of the state to continue paying their taxes as they have being doing before now in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
