Recurring Of Insecurity In Sokoto And Neighboring States Will Soon Be Over-Gov.Tambuwal

The Executive  Governor of Sokoto State,Rt. Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has expressed optimism that recurring insecurity in Sokoto and neighbouring states will soon be over.

Hon. Aminu Tambuwal gave this indication in an answer to a question from newsmen at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi this Friday.

The Governor said he has chaired an incisive security meeting with all relevant security authorities in Sokoto this Thursday, during which appropriate measures on surmounting challenges of insecurity were adopted for implementation.

Rt. Honourable Aminu Tambuwal informed journalists that the governments of Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina and Kaduna states were working jointly with the Federal Government to bring an end to banditry and other acts of criminality in the region.

He revealed that cases of attacks being experienced in these states were being exacerbated by events in some West African countries engulfed in civil strife and warfare.

Governor Aminu Tambuwal averred that states and Federal Government would pursue all avenues to eliminating banditry aimed at restoring law and order to all communities.
