The DG, NESREA Bags Living Hero of Environmental Health Award of The Year

Professor Aliyu Jauro has been decorated with the award of the Living Hero of Environmental Health Distinguished Noble and Best Personality of the Year 2023 by the Life Value Awareness and Leadership Secure Initiative.

He bagged this award for his outstanding performance and selfless service delivery as the DG/CEO National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA).

In presenting the award, the National President, the Life Value Awareness and Leadership Secure Initiative, Comr. Oladipo Musibau Aberuagba described the awardee, Prof.Jauro as a selfless, patriotic and dedicated Nigerian, whose his personal contributions and developmental initiatives has transformed the face of the environmental health space in country.

He further stressed:" Many of your initiative programmes have greatly enhanced the aggregate productivity of manpower and service delivery in the area of environmental health since your assumption of office as the DG/CEO of NESREA"

"Our aim and objective as non-governmental organization is to change the old narrative while making it a point of duty in celebrating and rewarding our heroes who have impacted our society positively while alive" he said.

Responding to the award bestowed on him, Prof. Jauro used the occasion in expression of his gratitude to the organizer for the award and finding him worthy as the Life Value Ambassador.

He then acknowledged that the honour was not only accorded to him alone but to the entire NESREA family for tackling and addressing environmental challenges in the country over the years.

He therefore called for more collaborative supports from the organizer of the award in reaching out to the public, using mass media channel to educate and enlighten Nigerians against bush burning and other acts responsible for environmental degradations in the country.

The awardee, Prof. Aliyu Jauro is a Professor of Industrial Chemistry, a former member of governing board; Nuclear Regulatory Agency (NNRA) and National Parks Service (NPS). In 2019, he was saddle with the leadership role to pilot the affairs of the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) till date.
